Introducing: Tom Staniford

Tom Staniford

Through a combination of moving cello and at times vulnerably honest vocals, Tom Staniford’s sound is both haunting and intense, yet strangely uplifting. Though still young in his career, his repertoire of live acoustic folk-rock continues to win a keen following throughout the UK.

Tom’s debut EP, ‘Lesson Still Young’ was released in April 2012 and has received countless positive reviews. On the back of his EP’s success, the talented musician has seen his work featured on the official soundtrack to multi-award winning feature film ‘City Of Dreamers’, as well as winning a main stage slot to perform at Beach Break Live supporting Ben Howard, Maccabees and Friendly Fires. Festival appearances don’t stop there, as Tom has taken to the stage at Summer Breeze Festival and Fiddlers Folk Festival.

April this year saw the Brighton-based singer launch his new EP, ‘Elizabeth’, which was a huge success. Getting his music out there enabled Tom to take part in a BBC Introducing Radio Session in June, which was broadcast all over the South of England.

Tom Staniford’s name is one you will be hearing a lot of in the not-so-distant future! You can download the ‘Elizabeth’ EP here: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/elizabeth-ep/id602543056

Here’s a treat for all of you! ‘Elizabeth’ is taken from Tom’s latest EP. ENJOY!
