Introducing: evanjack

evanjack

evanjack are a band creating a buzz down in south London, gathering a loyal following of supporters with the people who stumble across them. Their unique live set up, the passion with which they deliver their live performances & the emotive brand of alternative folk has seen the band’s second independent release, ‘The Darkness Within EP’, receive much acclaim & exposure.

Compromising of Scott Cousins (guitar & vocals) & Andrew Lyddon (drums), both grew up in South Wales, unaware of each other’s existence until their paths crossed unexpectedly. The contrasting musical backgrounds of the two naturally fused & they developed a style of writing melancholic songs which journey from intricate acoustic musings into an epic crescendo.

2013 already holds promise for evanjack, an extensive tour of the UK to coincide with the release is planned and having received support from Bethan Elfyn, Adam Walton and Tom Robinson on BBC Radio as well as John Kennedy on XFM the band are working hard to build on this momentum. They have also provided support for Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Matt Corby & Emily and the Woods.

Here’s a treat for you! evanjack performing ‘Bones’ from their latest EP. ENJOY!
