Black Casino And The Ghost have announced their debut album will be released on 2nd September 2013, titled ‘Some Dogs Think Their Name Is No’.
The album is entirely self-produced, which has enabled the band to experiment with a vast array of genres. The release exists between orchestral soundscapes and thumping delta blues; something which will be a breath of fresh air to a music scene filled with monotonous electronic tracks. In terms of lyrics the band decided to settle on the underlying theme of self-control, which is where the album name found its inspiration.
The four piece rock band consists of Elisa Zoot (vocals, piano), Ariel Lerner (guitar), Gary Kilminster (bass), and Paul Winter-Hart (drums). Forming in London back in 2010, they have already enjoyed success with hits ‘I Like You ‘Cause You’re Free’ and ‘Hoboland’.
‘Some Dogs Think Their Name Is No’ will be available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and Bandcamp, through the band’s label Lucky Machete. If you can’t wait that long, here’s the band’s album trailer…
