BBC Radio: Interview With Ragz-CV

Ragz CV

When we introduced you to Ragz-CV, we were excited to give you details about the fantastic cause his EP is supporting. Titled “Paying Homage To The King”, a reference to his Granddad, 50% of all proceeds made from the release go to Alzheimer’s Charity. The talented rapper chose this charity as his own Gran suffers from the disease and so he wanted to help in any way he could. In this case, through his music.

Wanting to spread awareness and raise some more funds, Ragz-CV has organised a charity event also. ‘Positive Influence’ will take place on Thursday September 26th at Dogstar in Brixton and will run from 7pm to 1am. In 2012 a similar event was organised, which managed to raise £800, and so Ragz-CV is looking to smash this target!

We were so impressed with the work Ragz-CV has done, both with his EP release and through the use of events, we wanted to chat about the fantastic cause on our radio show with Cultural Cocktails and Janice Ross. The word has spread further and BBC Radio got in contact with Ragz himself, which led to him taking part in a live interview on air.

You can listen to Ragz-CV talk about the struggles of dementia and how his music has raised nearly £4,000 for Alzheimers Society HERE!

To get you in the mood for this fantastic ‘Positive Influence’ event, here’s a video of Ragz-CV’s ‘Change Your Mind’ (Freestyle)… Enjoy!
