Fresh after debuting his latest single ‘Unlikely’ to rave reviews from several key online tastemakers including STARK, SoulCulture and the MOBO Awards, Brit Soul singer, songwriter and musician Midé is proud to debut the accompanying music video for the track.
Directed by Charlie Locke, who also crafted the MTV Base playlisted visuals for Midé’s previous single ‘Mainstream’, the video for ‘Unlikely’ plays on the massive live appeal of the single itself brought on by its driving horns, rousing bass and pulsing rhythm. Taking inspiration from classic Blues videos from the likes of Howlin Wolf and B B King, Midé and Charlie Locke creatively and excellently showcase Midé’s stellar live performance element all through this video.
Staying true to his original style and remaining vintage Midé, the ‘Unlikely’ video also takes on a conversational aesthetic to it as its visuals beautifully accentuate the song’s compelling lyrics and signature smooth alto notes while allowing Midé’s fans and audiences a glimpse into his passion and music, courtesy of some clever POV shots, remarkably brought to life by Charlie Locke.
Released on iTunes and all other digital stores on October 14, ‘Unlikely’ serves as the final single to be released from the forthcoming debut album ‘E.G.’ which will be released in early 2014.
