After garnering over 1,000,000 views on YouTube in just five month with his popular mash-ups and refixes, and with his latest single ‘Flyin’ receiving rave reviews from tastemakers such as Contact Music, SBTV and Shout4Music, London-based singer, songwriter and producer Chromatone is one of British music’s best kept secrets and certainly one to watch for 2014.
This week, he unveils his hugely anticipated sophomore EP titled ‘Touchdown’ featuring the already well received lead single ‘Flyin’ along with two new exciting records, ‘Alien’ featuring emerging London rapper/producer King Kash and the bass-heavy sultry ‘Joyride’ which sees Chromatone taking a sensual “joyride to parallel galaxies” with a “Queen of an outer space colony” – together, these three records make you want to press play over and over again on the ‘Touchdown’ EP.
Working closely with producer Anthony Lim, who has previously worked with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Wretch 32, Maverick Sabre and Bluey Robinson, Chromatone has crafted a succinct yet expansive offering for our very listening pleasure. Bringing forth a strong concept of science-fiction, the ‘Touchdown’ EP revolves largely around escapism.
Chromatone’s Touchdown EP is out now on iTunes and all other major digital stores.
